Atlanta 50+ Housing Council Membership Application
The Atlanta 50+ Housing Council represents a consortium of housing professionals dedicated to the fastest growing population of the 21st century—the active adult.
We are thrilled for your interest in this emerging market and invite you to join us as we journey on our self-designed “Yellow Brick Road” to success in the 50+ housing market for 2008.
The Atlanta 50+ Housing Council is committed to developing a higher level of professionalism in our general membership through continuing education and the interchange of ideas. The council’s leadership consists of a board of directors comprised of four executive committee members and eight board members, each of whom chair a committee. Our focus is on membership, programs, advocacy, education and charity.
Membership
The 50+ Council is a firm believer in the power of networking. As the voice of the 50+ housing industry in Atlanta, we are a leading source of information and research on the active adult, independent living, service-enriched and assisted-living markets. Membership grants access to these valuable resources and offers opportunities to network with others in the industry, including experts.
Programs
The 50+ Council offers exceptional programs to our membership. Whether your focus is building or finance, marketing or lifestyle, you'll learn from our four major programs and site tours. For each of our dinner programs, we invite industry experts to share their experiences with our members. Our site tours unveil the latest trends in building superior 50+ communities.
Advocacy
The 50+ Council serves the unique needs and interests of our members through our Advocacy committee. The Advocacy committee maintains a finger on the pulse of local and regional regulatory changes that impact the 50+ housing industry. Our endeavor is to ensure members of the council are aware of changes in the industry, while advocating for balanced guidelines in 50+ building.
Education
Education and training can set the groundwork for your success. As 50+ housing professionals, the council believes it is crucial to understand our consumer and housing trends. Several designations programs are provided. Informed members lead to better builders and agents.
Charity
The 50+ Council understands the impact of aging on our targeted audience. Our charitable efforts will support non-profit organizations that assist the aging population.
The Atlanta 50+ Housing Council is one of the nation’s largest 50+ councils. As a member of the Atlanta 50+ Housing Council, you receive automatic membership in the national 50+ Housing Council, giving you access to the national housing council’s quarterly magazine; Seniors House e/Source, a bi-monthly newsletter; and the opportunity to enter and be recognized in the Best of Seniors Housing Design and the ICONS of the Industry awards.
