Councils
The HBA offers special interest councils to all members. Serving on a council rewards each member with influence, prestige, industry knowledge and opportunities to expand their business. Click on the links below for more information about each council.
Associates Council
The Associates Council's goal is to create an environment where builders and associates benefit from a partnership while earning positive recognition for associate members, the HBA and the homebuilding industry.
Atlanta 50+ Housing Council
The Atlanta 50+ Housing Council serves the special needs of HBA members involved in or interested in all aspects of building, design, development, finance, marketing and sales of active adult housing. This council is dedicated to develop a higher level of professionalism in the seniors' housing industry by facilitating intra-industry networking and business opportunities.
Builder/Developer/Lender Council
Take advantage of the value provided through excellent access to information and economic forecasts. Every quarter, Roger Tutterow, PhD of Mercer University presents a consumer confidence survey designed to let the industry know what consumers think about the economy, and Eugene James of Metrostudy presents a market report and update. The other meetings feature roundtable discussions among builders, developers, lenders and suppliers that focus on the metro Atlanta housing market. BDL meets monthly. Green Building Council
The Green Building Council brings together those in the housing industry who participate in the planning, building, remodeling, marketing and selling of high-performance green homes and related products and services. The council provides a forum for professionals in the industry to promote green home standards and best practices, to network with others in the industry and to take a proactive role as leaders in the green housing industry.
Remodelers Council
The Remodelers Council provides remodelers with connections, support and knowledge through meetings and education seminars. This council is focused on helping your remodeling company grow and succeed.
Sales and Marketing Council
The Sales and Marketing Council is involved in the housing community through special events, education, specialized communications and certifcation programs unique to sales and marketing professionals. This council also coordinates the HBA's annual OBIE Awards, the highest honors within the Atlanta housing industry.
