Created in 1998 for builders, by builders, the Certified Professional Home Builders (CPHB) program is dedicated to connecting the homebuying public with certified builders committed to the highest levels of professionalism, service and customer satisfaction. The CPHB program is a residential certification program that offers a genuine distinction from other residential builders in the market, with requirements that exceed those of standard licensing law.

Need to renew your CPHB designation?

CPHB renewal packets are sent prior to your certification anniversary date. At renewal, you will be required to continuously meet the initial program criteria, but will not have to re-submit references. The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association will require you to update your current file. You will also need to meet the education requirement and provide any materials related to new CPHB policies and procedures.

All CPHB renewals are due on the first of the month. Failure to renew will result in immediate termination from the CPHB program on the first of the month. All CPHBs who extend beyond their renewal date for any reason will be assessed a $25 fee for each month they remain in the renewal process after their anniversary date. Please review your official CPHB certificate for your company’s anniversary date.

If you have questions about the renewal process, please contact Valerie Braverman at 678-775-1469.

CPHB Logo and Promotional Items
Use the CPHB logo on all of your marketing collateral and materials like brochures, business cards, yard signs, etc. Add the logo to stickers on company vehicles or employee name badges. You may request the logo by contacting cphb@atlantahomebuilders.com or calling 678-775-1469. The HBA Bookstore also has promotional items such as CPHB yard signs and shirts available for purchase only by current CPHBs.

First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS)
CPHB and FMLS have negotiated an agreement to allow CPHB to be a searchable criteria on the FMLS data listing. This comes from requests by the real estate community and allows agents to search for new homes by the CPHB designation. Visit fmls.com for more information.

Spread the Word
Meet with your onsite sales agents to explain the program and how it benefits the home buyer so they can utilize it in sales presentations. There are plenty of sound reasons for a home buyer to choose a CPHB!
