Wall Bracing:  A basic understanding and analysis of the wall bracing requirements for wood-framed residential structures.  Braced Wall requirements of the International Residential Code and how they impact the way that houses are designed. In addition, new concepts in wall bracing design will be introduced that will minimize red tags related to wall systems and maximizes design flexibility.

This course is presented by APA – The Engineered Wood Association is a nonprofit trade association that works with its members to create structural wood products of exceptional strength, versatility, and reliability. Combining the research efforts of scientists and engineers at APA’s 42,000 square-foot research center with the knowledge gained from decades of field work, and cooperation with our member manufacturers, APA promotes new solutions and improved processes that benefit the entire industry.  APA has represented the engineered wood industry since 1933. Over 30 years ago we became APA – The Engineered Wood Association to reflect a broader product scope.  We support product testing, research, and quality assurance, while educating industry professionals on proper product use.
