Navigating Construction & Remodeling Lending - 3 bldr credits

This course will focus on financing options for custom home builders and remodelers. The goal is to enhance our builders’ financing knowledge to assist them in growing in volume and revenue. The class will explore utilizing construction perm, spec building, and hard money financing. There will be a deep dive into CP financing and the benefits these programs provide.  We will engage in open dialogue to address these options and discuss what combinations fit our builders’ needs to help reach their goals.

Session facilitator, Ken Benson, has worked over 30 years in the mortgage banking industry. He and his teams have funded over $5 billion in mortgage volume, while assisting over 15,000 customers. The majority of his business has been focused on new construction. He has worked with national builders, local/private tract builders, custom home builders, and remodelers. During his career, he has worked closely with his bank partners that are involved in home builder finance and who have lended to larger tract builders as well as custom home builders. Construction permanent and renovation lending to various sized builders has been a niche of his throughout his time in the industry. Ken has been a member of and involved with the GAHBA over his career.

This session qualifies under the Rules of the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors for three (3) continuing education credit hours.
