Building Science Council
Created in 1999 by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and Southface Energy Institute, EarthCraft is a high performance building certification program focused specifically on the needs of residential builders and remodelers in the Southeast.
Home certification criteria are based on best practice design and construction standard that have been vetted by building professionals. Third-party inspection by qualified professionals ensure that participating homes meet EarthCraft standards for efficiency, health and performance.
To join the EarthCraft program, a builder must be a member in good standing with the Home Builders Association and complete a required training program led by Southface.
