GAHBA Hosts Second Annual Workforce Development Luncheon
GAHBA Hosts 2nd Annual Workforce Development Luncheon
The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) hosted its 2nd Annual Workforce Development Luncheon on July 15, bringing together industry leaders, educators, and workforce development advocates for an inspiring afternoon of collaboration.
Held as part of the GAHBA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the home building industry’s talent pipeline, the luncheon focused on how the association and its members can support and partner with metro Atlanta’s technical schools and workforce organizations.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear from local education leaders, explore partnership opportunities, and share ideas for better preparing students to enter the skilled trades and construction management fields.
“It was a great afternoon to connect with metro Atlanta technical schools and see how we can help their programs,” said Valerie Braverman, Education Director of GAHBA. “This event highlights how strong collaboration between education and industry can create real opportunities for students.”
The GAHBA was proud to welcome representatives from:
-
Lincoln Tech
-
UEI College
-
Atlanta Technical College
-
Chattahoochee Technical College
-
Lanier Technical College
-
Gwinnett Technical College
In addition to metro Atlanta technical schools, the luncheon was also attended by valued workforce development partners, including:
-
Sandy Springs Education Force
-
Georgia Tech
-

-

-

As part of the luncheon, GAHBA also recognized several companies for sponsoring custom banners to be hung at local technical schools — a visible reminder to students that the residential construction industry is full of opportunity and support.
Special thanks to our member companies and Workforce Development Committee for their ongoing dedication to advancing careers in home building. Through continued collaboration with local schools and institutions, GAHBA remains committed to building the next generation of skilled professionals.
