Building the Future Workforce: Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Holds Residential Construction Hiring Expo

Twenty member companies will interview pre-screened candidates for more than 60 available positions across the residential construction industry.

ATLANTA (October 26, 2026) – The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) will host its 2026 Residential Construction Hiring Expo this Thursday, October 29, at its headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia. Job seekers will meet 20 employers offering more than 60 career opportunities in architecture, project management, sales, engineering, and more.

Held in partnership with Building Talent Foundation (BTF), the expo aims to strengthen the home building industry’s workforce pipeline by putting employers in direct contact with qualified candidates. Available positions include internships, apprenticeships, and full-time and part-time jobs across residential construction and related fields.

“A thriving residential construction industry starts with a strong workforce,” said Corey Deal, Executive Officer of GAHBA. "By connecting our member companies with individuals ready to start careers in home building, we’re helping to advance the needs of the residential construction workforce while creating rewarding career opportunities.

Unlike a traditional job fair, participants in the Hiring Expo will have already been pre-screened, allowing them to meet with specific employers that best match their skillsets and interests.

The Hiring Expo includes:

  • Targeted candidate matching: Employers meet pre-screened candidates whose backgrounds and career interests fit open positions.
  • Structured interviews: Employers hold 15-minute interviews with matched candidates throughout the event.
  • Extended interview opportunities: Dedicated space lets employers have longer conversations with promising candidates.
  • Diverse career pathways: Candidates can explore opportunities in construction, development, project management, operations, sales, estimating, architecture, engineering, skilled trades, and related fields.

The expo brings together students, recent graduates, skilled trades professionals, those looking to change careers, and other job seekers interested in residential construction. It reflects GAHBA's ongoing commitment to workforce development and to the long-term needs of metro Atlanta’s home building industry.
